Frequently Asked Questions
Does each T40 have all six colours, or do I choose one? +
Each T40 unit ships with a single fixed-colour LED purpose-built for that wavelength. This ensures maximum optical performance — you're not getting a compromised multi-LED. Choose your wavelength at checkout based on your primary use case (White for general hunting, Green for hogs, Red for deer, UV for blood trailing, IR for night-vision optics).
Can I use the T40 while it's charging? +
No — during USB-C charging the flashlight cannot be activated. The LED indicator shows solid red while charging and turns solid green when fully charged. Plan to charge between hunts. A full charge takes approximately 3 hours at max 2A input.
Is the 490m beam distance in spot or flood mode? +
490m is the maximum throw measured in full spot (6°) mode per ANSI FL1 standard — the distance at which illuminance reaches 0.25 lux. In flood mode (70°), the brightness is spread across a much wider area; practical identification range is roughly 80–120m. Use spot for long-range target identification, flood for close-range area scanning.
Will the IR versions work without a night-vision device? +
IR 850nm produces a faint, barely-visible glow to the naked eye but illuminates clearly through a night-vision scope. IR 940nm is completely invisible to the human eye — it requires a NV device to be useful. Both versions are designed specifically to pair with NV optics.
How do I switch between High and Low, and how does the lock-out work? +
Single click turns it on in High. Click off, then click again within ~5 seconds to turn on in Low. Press and hold for momentary-on. To lock out and prevent accidental activation — unscrew the tail cap by one full turn. Simple, reliable, field-tested mechanical design.
Can I mount this to my rifle without additional parts? +
Yes — the Picatinny rail mounting adapter is included in the box. Slide it onto any standard Picatinny or Weaver rail. For a remote-switch setup, the optional Brinyte pressure pad (sold separately) lets you activate the light from your foregrip position without breaking your shooting grip.
