This is sporting the Luminus SFT-40-W LED for impressive throw and wide spill area for its size. The inlcuded 18650 will provide nice runtimes plus you can run any type of cell in this light which is great so you can increase your runtimes o your next adventure. Strong tail cap magnet for easy hands-free placement on a metal surface. Nice build quality construction. The USB magnetic charging system is a nice feature but takes a little longer to charge the battery. The adjustable head for many angles just right for any job needed for this HL18
This is a well-rounded flashlight that’s equally at home riding in the headband mount or on your belt, pocket, or hat bill (or stuck to a breaker box, car hood, etc.). The adjustable head adds a ton of usefulness, and Brinyte nailed the reflector and LED combo, with the SFT-40-W producing a lot of light in a very clean, well focused beam and surprising distance to boot.
The HL18 has some pretty neat features that really make it stand out. The flexible head allows you to angle the light so you can run it directly on your forehead with the included headband, or on the side of your head above your ear. This is very nice if you are wearing a hat or other headgear that could obstruct the light. The headband is also fully adjustable and quite comfortable, so even with a BIG head like mine, you’ll be able to find a comfortable fit.
The HL18 Noctua is a perfect light for those on the move. This thing is well built and very bright. I hunt, fish, camp and this light is perfect for these activities.
Light in the hand and the fact it can be used as a headlamp and hand held is great. Magnetic end cap is also a great feature for hands free.

The design was a great idea. However, they made the light far to heavy for purpose. It’s to heavy for headband. The headband is not fit for purpose. This light is to heavy for backpacking or any other use.
